On Friday, tens of thousands of Algerians went out to continue their protests, raising "disaffected" slogans against the government in their country, calling for "the country to be released from the grip of corruption."

In the 54th week of the Algerian movement, which is considered the first demonstration in the second year of a series of "long-term" protests, in which Algerians have entered since February 22, 2019, the protesters raised slogans demanding the release of the movement's detainees, denouncing the innocence of "the president's son, Taboun who is accused of cases Corruption, while the movement's youth and opinion-makers are condemned to imprisonment for the sake of their political opinions. "

Despite the voices raised during the last two days by activists on social networking sites, which warned against going out to protest and avoiding places that contain a large number of people, to guard against the spread of the mutated Corona virus, after recording "the first cases that were confirmed to be infected with the virus in Algeria, Last Tuesday, the harakis insisted on continuing to gather.

The demonstrators expressed their fear of an outbreak of the Coruna virus, through the slogan they chanted "Corona nor Ntuna", that is, "You are not less bad than the virus", along with a slogan meaning "You will not scare us with news of an HIV infection because you will not succeed in stopping us from pretending" .

The momentum of the movement returned, according to eyewitnesses, in a number of states of the country, where protesters in more than 23 states came out with hundreds of thousands, expressing their dissatisfaction with the survival of what they described as "the remains of the symbols of Bouteflika regime" in the decision-making centers in the country.

One of the protesters said: "No matter how Tabun tries to search for legitimacy, he will not find it, because he is a president appointed by the military establishment, and he was not elected by the people. It is impossible to achieve a democratic state and he is the son of the resigned regime."

The demonstrators insist that "the constitution that Taboun and the locust government seek to market to him are just a veil trying to hide behind him to escape the people's lack of acceptance of them."
