The German Health Ministry announced today, Friday, that there are about 60 confirmed cases of the new Corona virus in the country, while a thousand people have been quarantined.

A spokesperson for the ministry said: "At the moment we have nearly 60 cases, which is a very variable situation as we always say."

As the authorities announced in the Heinsberg region in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, he had to take urgent steps to keep a thousand citizens under quarantine after the participation of a couple infected with Corona in one of the celebrations.

Schools and kindergartens in the region were closed until Monday, when the number of cases associated with the celebration reached 20. In Hamburg, parents and children who had been in contact with an injured employee of the university clinic were ordered to stay in their homes for 14 days.

The German government has ordered the local authorities in 16 states, to prepare for modern plans for a potential pandemic.

The virus continues to circulate as it is spread outside China in more than 30 countries, causing dozens of deaths and more than 2,500 infections.
