A survey by the School Inspectorate shows that many pupils in grade 5 feel that there is no study at school. In terms of the entire country, 25 per cent of the pupils, every fourth pupil, say that they have no study experience.

In Tibro, the figures for the three schools that participated in the survey vary between 33 percent (Häggetorpsskolan) and 20 percent (Ransberg's school).

SVT News West visited Ransberg's school outside Tibro where every fifth student stated that they did not have a study roe. Four out of five state that other students disrupt the order in the classroom.

More messy in group

- It's different from lesson to lesson. When we work in groups it is messier, says Alfred Eriksson.

The principal, Christopher Nilsson, is well aware of the problems and thinks it is good that the students' opinion will appear in the survey.

- Knowing more about how students feel about being in school means that we can work for a better study experience, says Christopher Nilsson.

Four out of five: "Other disturbances"

At all three schools in Tibro that have pupils in grade five, about 80% of pupils, ie four out of five, respond that there are other pupils who disturb the order in the classroom.

Ransberg's school is located in beautiful surroundings close to nature and Lake Örlen. More centrally located is the Häggetorps school in Tibro and there are also twice as many students in the fifth grade. As many as 33%, every third pupil, state that they do not have a study. But when we contact Principal Sofia Andersson, she does not feel prepared to comment on the figures for Häggetorpsskolan.

- I am just new to this post and do not have time to get into this study now, says Rector Sofia Andersson to SVT Nyheter Väst.

No problem

The situation seems better in a number of smaller schools in Skaraborg. There, no students state that they have problems with study trouble and no one states that they have problems with classmates who interfere with the order of the lessons. This applies to Larv-Tråvad school, Arenstorp school, Levene school and Önum freeschool, all in Vara municipality. These schools have between 13 and 17 pupils in fifth grade.
