By the end of last October, the value of contracts awarded by the Expo 2020 Dubai to SMEs amounted to four billion dirhams, supporting the exhibition's expected goal of promoting innovation and supporting small businesses.

The number of institutions registered to work with the international event reached about 39 thousand institutions from more than 150 countries, as this includes small and medium-sized companies that are given priority in awarding contracts.

SMEs currently represent 50.45% of the total number of companies registered with Expo 2020, as they have received 54.2% of the exhibition contracts so far.

Through the "Expo 2020 Dubai" program for products and licenses, the exhibition seeks to offer about 5,000 licensed products.

All the first products that have been licensed and are currently available are for small and medium-sized companies from the Gulf Cooperation Council, including: Chocolate inspired by the "Expo" produced by "Mirzam", and soap of camel milk produced by the factory "The Whole Sup Factory", in addition to "Dates of Bateel And energy biscuits from the Diet Bar Company, as well as Patchi Chocolate, and a Splash clothing collection.

Business partnerships

So far, Expo 2020 Dubai has announced 11 partners from the first official partner category, seven partners from the official partner category, six service providers, and one official supporter. These partnerships play a pivotal role in the successful organization of Expo 2020 Dubai and supporting its legacy.

The exhibition seeks to offer about 5,000 licensed products.
