Break-ins, festival of contemporary literature
Culture> Festival - 19 Rue Beaubourg, 75004 Paris, France - Free
The 1st edition of the Effractions festival gives pride of place to authors who make literary news, and whose works give reason to think about the link between literature and reality. It highlights a literature which confronts and challenges, within a library turned towards the actuality, sensitive to the questions of society and to the debates of our time. During 4 days of meetings, workshops, round tables, readings or performances, the invited authors wake us up and shake us up; they take up this bubbling matter of reality head on, to open up unexpected perspectives within us and move our own limits.

Who decides on Libya? The meeting of the news
Culture> Conference - 1 Rue des Fossés Saint-Bernard, 75005 Paris, France - Free
Since 2011 and the fall of the Gaddafi regime, war has been raging in Libya. Tripoli, controlled by Fayez Sarraj, head of the government of national understanding recognized by the UN, has been under siege for 10 months by General Haftar, at the head of the Libyan national army. In the absence of agreement within the Security Council, peace initiatives come up against the multiplication of stakeholders in the conflict. By their intervention, direct or indirect, supposed or real, many States including Russia and Turkey, indeed seem to position themselves as leading players in the region. This shows that the Libyan conflict has become more complex and internationalized. Who are the state or non-state actors taking part? What are the reasons for the deadlock in the UN in resolving the conflict? How to define the commitment of Western and regional powers in the face of this crisis? Meeting with the speakers, this Thursday, February 27, for a new meeting of the current events animated by pierre Haski.
