Xinhua News Agency, Tashkent, February 26 (Reporter Cai Guodong) Uzbekistan's Tashkent General Administration of Internal Affairs said on the 26th that Uzbek police launched a raid and search operation in 24 locations in the capital Tashkent and Tashkent, arresting 21 suspected and active in Syria Associates of the international terrorist organization.

The Tashkent General Administration of the Interior issued a statement on the same day saying that these people organized illegal gatherings, preached the ideology of international terrorist organizations in Syria, and incited the public to fund and join these terrorist organizations. The Ukrainian police seized the relevant physical evidence during the operation, and further investigations are still ongoing.

On the 19th of this month, Uzbekistan police arrested 21 people in Tashkent who are suspected of being connected with a religious extremist group operating in the Middle East while they were being trained in planning terrorist activities.
