The Kremlin has confirmed Putin’s agreement on the date of the constitutional vote

“Yes, the president supported the proposal for a vote on April 22,” Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the head of state, told RIA Novosti.

Klishas previously suggested Putin hold a vote on April 22. As noted by the co-chair of the working group, Pavel Krasheninnikov, the president agreed with the proposal.

On February 25, amendments to the draft law on amendments to the Constitution were introduced for consideration by the relevant State Duma committee.

According to Krasheninnikov, the appointment of a vote under the Constitution will be carried out by presidential decree.
