Iranian websites announced the death of the Iranian diplomat, politician and cleric, and the former head of the Iranian Interests Section in Cairo, Syed Hadi Khusrawshahi, after he was infected with the deadly Corona virus in Qom, and underwent treatment a few days ago in a hospital in the capital, Tehran.

The news quoted Egyptian websites, and added that Khosrow Shahi had assumed the presidency of the Iranian Interests Section in Cairo for a period of 4 years from 2001 to 2004, as well as the position of former Iranian ambassador to the Vatican and an adviser to the Foreign Minister, and the Iranian election site confirmed that the results of his analyzes of Corona were positive.

Khusrawshahi is the third official infected with the virus, after the Deputy Health Minister, Iraj Harirji, and the head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian parliament, Mojtaba Dhul Nur, were infected.
