The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship decided to suspend mobility using the national identity card temporarily for citizens of the country and citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries as of 12:01 after midnight on Friday, as part of a series of precautionary measures to curb the outbreak of the Corona virus emerging.
It is mandatory to use the approved passport document to indicate and monitor the movement of individuals to and from the countries from which the spread of the new Corona virus poses a threat to citizens and residents on the territory of the state.
The citizens of the country abroad who left with the ID card, as well as citizens of the Cooperation Council who are inside the country before the issuance of this decision, are excluded and these procedures are considered temporary and subject to review and impact assessment.
