For three days in December, violent riots took place at Kronogården in Trollhättan. Young people threw stones at police, fired rockets and set fire to cars. Joakim Lamotte went to the area to broadcast on social media regarding the situation but was subjected to physical and verbal attacks and was robbed.

SVT's debate program Sweden meets was moved

Today on Wednesday he is one of the contributing guests in SVT's new venture, the debate program Sweden meets. Originally, the program would be broadcast live from Kronogården in Trollhättan - but was moved after the municipality changed its decision. The municipality believed that a broadcast in Kronogården could pose a risk from a "democracy and citizen's point of view" and that it would further stigmatize the area.

When Joakim received the message that the debate had been moved, he wrote in social media that he intended to go to Kronogården anyway, before the debate, because he always keeps his promises.

Quiet visit

Prior to the evening's visit, there were notices in social media about getting to Kronogården, but also requests to stay away, so as not to give Lamotte a chance to dirty the area. The local leisure farm chose to close earlier and parents spent the night out on the town.

But Joakim Lamotte's visit was short. According to SVT's reporter on site, he came to the scene, broadcast on social media and left to participate in SVT's program Sweden meets.
