Tuesday evening, two women suspected of violence against a policewoman were arrested in Rosendaël, near Dunkirk, in the North, we learned from a police source. The facts took place as part of the carnival festivities.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a patrol of the national police was on a mission to secure the Rosendaël gang. As the officers passed by Square Paul-Doumer, the latter saw one of their colleague from the municipal police in difficulty.

Two alcoholic carnival girls

Two women dressed as carnival girls were unleashed against the official. One punched the policewoman's face while the other held her by the collar to hit her on the back.

The officers therefore went to the aid of their colleague and managed to control the two women. According to the police, the latter were quite alcoholic. They were arrested and placed in police custody. The reasons for the suspects' assault on the grievor are still unknown.
