When Karlstad's resident Catherine Andersson wanted to report police investigators in a video chat against her ten-year-old daughter, she was denied by an employee of the police. In the OmeTV app, the girl and her friends were met by masturbating men, but according to Catherine, the police considered that she should contact the app's owner instead. "It is wrong, of course, to report to the police if you have been exposed to a crime," says police inspector Lottie Hedenborg at the Bergslagen police region.
Police Inspector and Group Chief Lottie Hedenborg believes it can be a crime to masturbate in front of a camera. She also gives tips on what a parent can do if one's children end up in a chat where, for example, they are sexually abused.
