The inventory, which runs until February 29, shows that the tribe has recovered after the sharp fall in 2018 and 2019. The lodges in the county were then so low that they were below the county's minimum level. But even though the tribe has recovered, the spread over the loin is still uneven and some parts of the county lack complete rejuvenation.

- The administration's goal is for the tribe to stabilize in number and distribution, and that we can then have a regular license hunt that regulates the tribe to reduce the damage to the reindeer industry, says Anna Danell Savela, predator at the County Administrative Board in Norrbotten in a press release.
