• Canary Islands: Condemnation for the macho attack on a reporter who reported the calima

The young man who harassed editor Raquel Guillán during a live TV show on Canary Islands last Saturday has been convicted in a speedy trial held Tuesday in Arrecife, Lanzarote.

The accused will have to pay compensation to the editor of almost 2,500 euros and comply with a restraining order that will last 16 months after reaching an agreement with the accusation, reports Canarian Television.

The young man kissed last weekend, the editor of Televisión Canaria in the middle of a live connection, which generated a protest on social networks for a behavior described as "macho" and a concentration of the staff of the public entity this Monday.

According to the sentence, the man assaulted the journalist by pulling her hair and pushing it as it refused to return the wallet that had fallen after the assault. Guillán's intention was that the police could identify the stalker.

Finally, the convicted person must pay 130 euros to the editor as civil liability.
