It is reported by RIA Novosti.

The responsibility for the execution of the relevant instructions will be borne by the Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine Alexey Orzhel.

“I instruct Mr. Orzhel to conduct a full financial and personnel audit of coal enterprises as soon as possible, report publicly and pass the audit results to law enforcement agencies,” the head of Ukraine said.

According to Zelensky, corruption in the country's coal sector has become one of the reasons for its decline.

Earlier, the president of Ukraine demanded that the government pay off debts on wages to miners in the next two months.

In February, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Goncharuk announced his intention to close unprofitable state mines, and employ miners of these enterprises.
