A 17-day-old baby recovered from the new Corona virus "Covid-19" after she was born from a sick mother in Wuhan, China, according to the British newspaper "Daily Mail".

The baby is the smallest patient recovering from the virus in China so far, according to official media. The baby left the hospital last Friday after she recovered completely on her own, without medical assistance.

The baby was born on February 5, and she was transferred to Wuhan Children's Hospital on the day of her birth, according to the Chinese People's Daily, and it was found that she was HIV positive shortly.

Dr. Baby Sheng Linkong, director of the neonatal department of the hospital, said the baby, known as "Xiao Xiao", had a respiratory infection and minor heart damage.

Because the symptoms were not clear to her, the doctors decided not to give her any antibiotic and let her beat the disease on her own.

Dr. Sheng said the girl was not suffering from obvious breathing difficulties, nor was she coughing or having a fever, and "so we only treated her for a condition of the heart muscle." He added that the baby recovered completely from the Corona virus and from heart disease.

And doctors in China fear that the virus can spread from mothers to their babies in the womb.

It is noteworthy that the largest infected person with coronavirus in the country so far, a 96-year-old woman recovered from the disease after receiving treatment in the intensive care unit for three days.
