The Egyptian presidency issued a statement a short time ago, in which it said: "The Presidency of the Republic mourns with great sadness the former President of the Republic, Mr. Hosni Mubarak, for what he presented to his homeland as one of the leaders and heroes of the glorious October war, as he assumed command of the Air Force during the war that restored dignity and pride to the Arab nation."
The statement continued: "The Presidency of the Republic extends its sincere condolences and condolences to the family of the deceased who passed away this morning, Tuesday, February 25, 2020."
