“After hearing the views of the parties, the court decided to take a preventive measure in the form of detention of Kakha Gazzaev, accused under Part 2 of Art. 105 (“Assassination by prior conspiracy”) and part 1 of article 222 (“Illegal possession of weapons”) of the Criminal Code of Russia, ”TASS quoted the judge.
It is noted that, according to the investigation, Gazzaev was involved in the murder of Ivankov.
Earlier, the court arrested Murtaza Shadaniya, another murder suspect.
According to investigators, he carried out surveillance of the Jap, delivered to Moscow the weapons from which he was shot, and also monitored the territories adjacent to the crime scene.
In the summer of 2009, Ivankov was seriously wounded at the exit of the restaurant on Khoroshevskoye Shosse. A few months later he died.
