During a unanimous meeting of members on Monday, it was decided that Ann-Charlotte Munter (S) will be the successor to Anders Berglöv as the chairman of the municipal council in Flen.

- I am happy with the confidence I have gained from my party. It's fun to have the opportunity to be a little more involved in politics, ”she says.

Great interest in school matters

Ann-Charlotte currently works as a university lecturer at Mälardalen University. She is also a member of the municipal council and is chair of the municipal company Unikabruket AB.

What challenges do you see in Flens municipality?

- Among other things, we need to develop housing supply and care for the elderly in the municipality. Then, of course, I am also passionate about school development, which I see is closely linked to trying to reduce unemployment in the municipality.

Takes place on April 1st

Ann-Charlotte takes up the post on April 1st of this year, while preparations are underway.

- I feel that I get a good handover from Anders Berglöv, I have had to accompany him and meet the commander in chief, among other things. Since then I have been involved in politics for a number of years, so I know some of the political processes. I think it will be good for this.
