Russia and South Korea hold consultations on Putin's visit

Moscow and Seoul continue to hold consultations on the dates of the visit of Russian leader Vladimir Putin to South Korea and South Korean President Moon Jae-in to Russia.

“Now our government and the Russian government are very closely conducting consultations and negotiations in order to clarify the deadlines for mutual exchanges, visits of our president and President Vladimir Putin,” RK Novosti quotes the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Russia Li Sok Pae.

He specified that, in his opinion, this year there will be several summits with the participation of two presidents.

The ambassador also said that Moon Jae-in is interested in expanding cooperation between South Korea and the Russian Far East.

On January 23, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov had a telephone conversation with US Special Envoy for the DPRK Stephen Bigan, during which they discussed the settlement of the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
