New virus first confirmed in Switzerland in Switzerland February 26 4:26
Swiss authorities have announced on the 25th that the first infection with the new coronavirus has been confirmed.
The infection was confirmed by a 70-year-old man living in Ticino, southern Switzerland, bordering northern Italy, who reported symptoms after attending a meeting near Milan, Italy on March 15.
The man is isolated in a state hospital and is in stable condition.
