“The government and the prime minister decided to send a letter to Commissioner Stella Kyriakides requesting an urgent meeting of the EU health ministers to discuss the epidemiological situation in Europe, as it develops differently in different countries,” TASS quoted him as saying.

According to him, to date, not a single case of coronavirus has been recorded in Poland, but the current situation in Europe indicates that "the virus will appear in Poland sooner or later."

Earlier it became known that in Croatia and Austria recorded the first cases of coronavirus infection with COVID-19.

On February 24, EU Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarcic announced that the EU is working on various crisis scenarios around the development of the situation with coronavirus.

The senior researcher at the Russian Scientific and Methodological Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS, epidemiologist Oleg Yurin, in an interview with NSN, assessed the situation with the spread of coronavirus.
