An investigation is underway within the RTM in Marseille, after the testimony of a passenger implicating a bus driver who would have refused access to a person in a wheelchair, indicates this Tuesday at 20 minutes the transport authority metropolitan areas, confirming information from France Bleu Provence. "Whatever the outcome of the investigation, we will speak to the agent," continues the RTM, which says it takes the case "very seriously" and has videos of the bus.

"I don't take it"

This internal investigation was opened following the request of a witness, who also related the scene on social networks. The facts took place last Thursday, at the Prado roundabout, on line 19 in the direction of Castellane. A young woman in a wheelchair is positioned at the stop, on the dedicated floor marking, but the driver would delay opening the door, then refuse to lower the gangway. According to Karine, the witness, the driver first mumbled "I don't take it" then, faced with his insistence, said "there is no bridge".

"Which is obviously false because all recent buses like this are equipped with it," adds Karine in her shared testimony on Facebook. The young woman could have finally taken the bus, thanks to passengers who carried her. The complaint to the RTM does not come directly from her, but from Karine therefore, who hopes "that she will also contact the RTM".
