It was a too harsh inspection report, the crowdsman thinks is anonymous.

He has left the restaurant business today but has been in it since the 1990s. He tells SVT that he never participated in a similar inspection as that done in his restaurant last year.

- I have been in the business since 1991. I have never seen the inspectors come and kneel under the bar with a flashlight, he says.

Rat spillage in the basement

He says the inspectors went through the restaurant far too thoroughly.

The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's Arvid Nordland does not want to respond to the critic's criticism, but only responds to mail:

"For example, checking what it looks like under the bar can be extremely relevant when checking for pests, as it is a space that can be difficult to clean and therefore may show any traces of rats or other pests."

The report against the restaurant mainly pointed to deficiencies in cleaning and that there were traces of old rubbish in a basement room.

Have you ever thought it was okay to visit the restaurant in that state?

- All food must be right and handled properly, and I am sure of that. But if it is late is messy in a basement store that is actually closed, I think that is less important, the pub responds.

Threatened with a fine of SEK 10,000

The environmental management also threatened with a fine if they did not clean properly. It was about SEK 10,000 in fines every time the inspectors found deficiencies.

- We fixed what they said we would do. If we had to pay the penalty, it would have affected it in hell, says the pub.

"If the business had views in this particular case, we are grateful if we found out to be able to explain our assessment of the deficiencies." , Arvid Nordland writes in the email.
