Chelsea coach Frank Lampard has decided to trust Olivier Giroud, a league goalscorer on Saturday, to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League round of 16 in the first leg at Stamford Bridge.

Lampard even went further by renewing the 11 incumbents who beat Tottenham (2-1) in the Premier League in a crucial match for the race for Europe.

It retains its hinge at three with Reese James and Marcos Alonso on the sides.

Ross Barkley also remains titular in place of Willian who takes place on the bench, like Tammy Abraham.

Bayern side, the composition is not surprising with a trio Serge Gnabry, Thomas Müller and Kingsley Coman to support Robert Lewandowski at the forefront.

Lucas Hernandez, who has only played 90 full minutes once (Friday against Paderborn 3-2) since his recovery, after almost four months off, is on the bench.
