The ninth session of the Government Communication Forum kicks off on March 4-5 at the Expo Center Sharjah, with the participation of 64 speakers from officials, experts and specialists from 16 countries, with four axes instead of focusing on one slogan, which is to establish a culture of interaction in government and technology as a possible community and communication Through individual and community culture and welfare.

The International Center for Governmental Communication of the Media Office of the Government of Sharjah launched a campaign "Beyond Communication" through the local Emirati newspapers, Arabic and English and social networking sites, in preparation for the forum, with the aim of highlighting the importance of government communication in the success of official policies and programs for governments and strengthening their relationship with the public and consolidating the values ​​of partnership Cooperation between the two parties, along with the importance of government communication in raising the efficiency of official and private institutions by turning communication into a space for dialogue and exchange of ideas between them and their clients.

The International Center for Governmental Communication stated that the four axes confirm that communication is a comprehensive and integrated process that cannot be divided or abbreviated with a single axis and logo.

The campaign topped the first pages of the local newspapers issued in both Arabic and English, and included a series of titles issued by the title of “unimportant statement” followed by a set of messages that indicate the most important challenges in government communication practices, to confirm, according to the International Center for Governmental Communication, that communication without rules may cause In cases of confusion among readers, and that the information, if not complete, may give different meanings, and leave impressions with the public that are completely opposite to the objectives of the means of communication and their supervisors.
At the end of the pages of newspapers, campaign designers put a “barcode” leading to a recorded speech by Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, on the official website of the International Government Communication Center, in which he stressed the importance of government communication as a space for constructive interaction between institutions and official agencies on the one hand and the public On the other hand, and to transform communication from a carrier of information to a builder of individual and collective values ​​and principles.

The International Center for Governmental Communication stated that the campaign came to confirm the importance of communication in the era of cultural openness and the speed of information transmission, and the multiplicity of sources of influence in public opinion, as communication has turned into a major life skill, and has become a decisive factor in the success of governments and determining their position on the world map, and a condition for survival Institutions and the sustainability of their business.

The center’s administration expressed its deep appreciation for the cooperation of local newspapers and its initiative in adopting campaigns and defining their noble goals, and the department stressed that the media in the United Arab Emirates was a partner in the development industry and in achieving the achievements that put the country at the top of the list of many positive international measurement indicators.
