" In view of all the results centralized on the basis of the minutes obtained, the candidate of the Union for the Republic party, Unir, Mr. Gnassingbé Faure is proclaimed provisionally elected president of the Togolese Republic ", announced Tchambakou Ayassor, the president of the Independent National Electoral Commission, after having declined the results of the 46 local electoral commissions.

According to figures from the CENI, Faure Gnassingbé was re-elected in the first round of the presidential election with 72.36% of the vote, before the former Prime Minister and opponent Agbéyomé Kodjo (18.37%).

Kodjo says he is victorious
