The mathematician Katherine Johnson has died. Johnson worked for Nasa for several years and played a key role in most major space expeditions - including during the moon landing. In 2015, she received the President's Medal of Honor by Barack Obama and the following year her life was portrayed in the Oscar-nominated film Hidden Figures. Katherine Johnson turned 101 years old.
