"It makes us suspect that the person may have been carried out with the help of the bag," the agency's press officer Per Ek writes in an email to the newspaper.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning.
Police spokesman Daniel Wikdahl confirms to TT that a person escaped from the repository. He also says that there is information that a suitcase should have been involved but does not know for sure if the man was smuggled into it.
The woman who remained at the repository is a criminal suspect, says Wikdahl.
