Farid El-Deeb, the lawyer of the former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, revealed that his client has been in intensive care in the hospital for more than a month, after he had a stomach fatigue, and after examinations, doctors said that he needed accurate intestine surgery.

Al-Deeb said, in statements to "Al-Masry Al-Youm", that Mubarak underwent comprehensive tests, including analyzes and measurement of pressure and sugar in preparation for performing the surgery, and after completing the medical examinations he underwent surgery in a hospital in the Armed Forces, and after his procedure he suffered health complications, which led to his deposit in a room Intensive care, and after a month has passed in the Intensive Care Chamber, it has begun to improve, but it has not reached the stage of complete stability.

Al-Deeb indicated that he is continuously visiting him in the hospital to check on him, pointing out that only family members and his lawyer are allowed to visit him.

Al-Deeb added that Mubarak received the criminal court’s ruling on Saturday, which ruled innocent his two sons Alaa and Jamal in the case of tampering with the stock exchange, in a state of pleasure and happiness despite his health condition, saying: “Praise be to God, our Lord, our half after many years.”

The Cairo Criminal Court had ruled the acquittal of Mubarak’s sons and 6 others in the case, after 8 years in the litigation circles. With the end of this case, the Mubarak family, who gave up his position in February 2011 after the “January 25 Revolution,” no longer faces other cases in the corridors of the courts. Egyptian.

Among the accused included in the innocence is the Egyptian businessman Hassan Haykal, son of the late writer Mohamed Hassanein Heikal, and the case dates back to 2012.
