New incident on the sidelines of the carnival. On Saturday, three people were arrested in Dunkirk, in the North, we learned from a police source. One of them is suspected of having brandished a handgun near the Kursaal, the hall where Uncle Cô's ball was held, one of the highlights of the carnival.

It was almost 11 p.m. on Saturday, and the party was in full swing in the bars of the Malo embankment, near the Kursaal, Mecca of Carnival. For the occasion, the security system had been reinforced. On the video surveillance screens, municipal police officers noticed three individuals with suspicious behavior who were not disguised in front of the bar at the Red Rock Café. One of these three men suddenly brandished a handgun which he pointed at another person's forehead.

A young carnival girl disappears with the gun

The municipal police immediately gave the alert and the message was received by a BAC patrol who was near the location. The officials quickly arrived on the scene and were able to arrest the three persons corresponding to the alert. However, during the palpations, no weapon was found on them.

The suspects were nevertheless placed in police custody. The video surveillance images were again examined by the investigators. They were able to see that the weapon had been given to a young girl in carnival clothes before the police arrived.

The three men were released after their police custody but the investigation continues in preliminary. It is for the investigators to find the girl and the weapon.
