A decision to ban begging in Surahammar is expected during the evening

In March last year, the moderates in Surahammar filed a motion to introduce a begging ban in Surahammar. According to the exercise, begging is not an appropriate way to support themselves and that people risk being exploited.

According to Johanna Olofsson, there is also a chance that decisions will not be made until later this year. This is in anticipation of the decision that is expected to be taken in Parliament regarding a national ban on begging.

- I hope we can still decide on it today, as it shows that we are at the forefront, she says.
