Senator Bernie Sanders cemented his lead in the race for the Democratic nomination card for the upcoming presidential elections in the United States by winning the party's primary elections in Nevada.

And Sanders was able to achieve an easy victory in the elections that took place yesterday (Saturday in Nevada, western United States), and thus won the votes of two states, as he had won in Iowa.

Democratic races will move to South Carolina next week, before competing for 14 states in what is known as the Big Tuesday on March 3.

Sanders topped Nevada with a comfortable lead from other Democratic candidates, with NBC reporting that it had secured 44.7% of the vote, followed by Joe Biden, former Vice President with 19.5%, and Pottinggeg House with 15.6%.

Sanders, a left-wing Senator from Vermont, and his progressive policies on health care and raising the minimum wage are responding to millions of Americans.

On the other hand, US President Donald Trump, with his tweets on Twitter, stormed the democratic race, pointing to news of possible Russian interference in the presidential campaigns to be held in November.

According to some press reports, there is potential Russian intervention to support the Bernie Sanders campaign.

"Democrats in the great state of Nevada (which I will win thanks to the economy, jobs, army and veterans ... be careful with Russia, Russia and Russia," Trump said on Twitter.

"According to corrupt politician Adam Schiff (Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee), they (the Russians) are trying to help the crazy Bernie Sanders win," he added.

Earlier, Sanders warned Russia against interfering in the US elections, and said in a statement that he was indifferent to who Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted as president of the United States.

"My message to Putin is clear and he is away from the US elections, and I, as president, will make sure that you will do that," he added.

The Washington Post has quoted sources as saying that US officials have informed Sanders of Russian attempts to help his campaign, as well as President Trump and members of Congress.
