23 February 2020 A 65-year-old sub-Livorno died following a probable illness after an immersion in the waters of Calafuria south of Livorno today. According to a first reconstruction of the Captaincy, the woman felt bad at the end of a group dive, just before getting back on board a diving boat.The first to assist the woman were the diving companions while a vehicle from the Capitaneria that was nearby escorted the boat with the woman on board to the pier of Antignano where an ambulance was waiting with the doctor.
Despite attempts to resuscitate the doctor has been unable to do anything but ascertain the death of the woman.
