ADASI, the region’s pioneer in autonomous systems and services solutions, has launched the first Emirati-made “Karmousha” helicopter, in high performance, as part of a deal with the General Command of the UAE Armed Forces.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs in the UAE, revealed the new "Qarmousha" Drone helicopter, on the Edge platform, during the activities of the unmanned systems exhibition "Yumex 2020" which is currently being held on the center Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions, and runs through February 25.

The launch of the new "Karmousha" drone aims to enhance the capabilities of air operations and improve performance, through a lightweight military helicopter, designed to transport payloads of approximately 100 kg, for a period of up to 6 hours and a range of 150 km within the line of sight. The new platform provides greater durability, and greater payload, with the built-in high-resolution camera feature to cover more space, in addition to the ideal operating flexibility that gives the armed forces the opportunity to maintain their manned aircraft to perform delicate missions. The "Kermoshah" Drone can be used to detect leaks in gas pipelines, survey infrastructure, and search and rescue operations. It is expected that the new helicopter capabilities will reduce the total costs of operations.
