An armed municipal police, "street managers" for cleanliness, a "public service of home maintenance", more vegetation, the candidate LREM Agnès Buzyn unveiled Sunday in the JDD her main proposals for municipal in Paris.

The candidate, who replaces Benjamin Griveaux, forced to give up after the dissemination of intimate videos, has taken up many proposals from his predecessor, particularly in terms of cleanliness and safety, his "two priorities".

It also brought new measures, such as that for keeping elderly people at home or their desire to green the streets, and used two flagship ideas from Benjamin Griveaux: moving the Gare de l'Est to create a Central Park Parisian and the proposal to offer 100,000 euros to Parisians for the purchase of an apartment.

SECURITY

Agnès Buzyn confirms wanting a municipal police force equipped with lethal weapons, like "50% of municipal police forces". This requires training, and that it is the police who know their neighborhood, "she insists.

At least one officer per patrol will carry a pedestrian camera. We owe it to Parisians who are increasingly afraid for their safety.

Its first assistant will be responsible for security and tranquility.

CLEANLINESS

The candidate takes up the proposals of her predecessor: creation of "street managers" in each district, increase in the number of city agents on the ground "mobilized in the dirtiest areas, determined in consultation with the district mayors and citizens ", the collection of waste entrusted entirely to the private sector, and" responsibility for cleanliness "given to borough mayors.

It also wants to "double the share of recycled waste, which is only 20%".

ENVIRONMENT

The candidate LREM wants to "make the adaptation of the city to climate change another of (her) main priorities", judging that "Paris is not prepared" for the heat wave.

She wants to establish "a green rule" which "will aim to preserve green spaces, plant more trees, create islands of greenery and one garden street per district".

She wants to submit "for opinion" all major projects in the city to a scientific and citizen council, "which will judge the ecological quality of each of them".

SOCIAL

Ms. Buzyn wants to "tackle the challenge of an aging population". Faced with the difficulties encountered by the elderly who want to stay at home, the former Minister of Health wants to create "a public service for home care, which will centralize requests and work with all associations".

TRANSPORT

The LREM candidate judges that "it is obviously necessary to go towards more public transport and more cycling".

It provides for "a secure bicycle plan", "more electric vehicles" and "a partnership with the Region to develop public transport".

But she opposes Anne Hidalgo's promise to remove 60,000 parking spaces ", because" it is punitive ecology ", and refuses the" 100% bike "which" excludes a large part of Parisians: pregnant women, the elderly, sick or disabled. "

HOUSING

The former Minister of Health wants "to put on the market at least 20,000 vacant homes, out of the more than 100,000 existing, during the term", "by guaranteeing the payment of rents and by simplifying the procedures for owners" . "Similar schemes exist, but do not provide enough incentives," she said.

As for social housing, she wants "to make it available to people who work in the service of Parisians," she said, judging that "this is insufficiently the case" currently for nurses or nursing assistants.
