The man, very seriously injured, had to be placed in an artificial coma. At the end of the day Saturday, a conflict between motorists ended in a bloodbath in Vaulx-en-Velin, near Lyon. According to Le Progrès, the scene started around 6:30 p.m. at one of the A42 motorway exits.

A motorist, visibly in a hurry, overtook a moving van just before taking the exit, slightly hanging the truck. The tone rose between the two drivers who both eventually hit the road. But the motorist, alone in his vehicle, did not intend to stop there. While following the van so as not to lose sight of it, he would have called friends to the rescue.

Hit on the head

Arriving at avenue Gabriel-Péri, in the center of Vaulx-en-Velin, the driver of the van found himself blocked by the motorist and his friends who had come to join him. The 32-year-old man was forcibly removed from his truck and then allegedly hit with a stick and cross key, this tool used to disassemble the wheels of a car.

Seriously injured in the head and left on the ground by the fleeing attackers, the victim was hospitalized in serious condition. His vital prognosis was engaged Saturday evening when he was admitted to the hospital, according to the regional daily. An investigation was opened to find the men on the run.
