In the night from Friday to Saturday, at a place called Haute-Guicharderie, in Mouchamps in Vendée, an agricultural building of 700 m2 of a dairy farm caught fire, tells this Sunday West-France . Fortunately, no humans were present inside the building, but on the other hand, 31 heifers and 3 calves were trapped and died. A tractor was also completely destroyed.
When the firefighters arrived, the building was already almost on fire. Eighteen heifers were, however, saved. Another building, in which there were cows, was not affected. An investigation has been opened and will have to determine the reasons for the incident.
