Photos of Antarctic penguins covered in reddish brown mud are shocking the world.

On Tuesday, National Geographic Instagram posted a picture of an Antarctic penguin taken by Dutch photographer Fran Lanting.

The penguins in the photo recently became mud in Antarctica, where temperatures reached 20 degrees Celsius, melting snow and ice. "The Adelie penguin lives in extreme cold and is also called the" ice penguin, "but he says he is having trouble coping with the new environment due to the recent turbulence of the climate.

He added, "If a baby penguin left alone while an adult penguin goes for food, it can lose its life due to hypothermia because its non-waterproof feathers can get wet," he added.

According to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), Antarctica is one of the fastest-growing regions of the world. In 50 years, the average temperature has risen to nearly 3 degrees and recently recorded 20 degrees, the highest temperature ever. WMO estimates that melting of the Antarctic glaciers will raise sea levels around 60 meters worldwide.

As the temperature rises, sea ice is thinning, and abnormal climates such as El Niño bring storms to Antarctica, and penguins are threatened with life. The muddy penguins represent a strict warning of nature.
