The Chinese participating team departed from Kunming Changshui International Airport in Yunnan on the 23rd and flew to Thailand to participate in the joint air force plane play. The joint performance will be held in Thailand from February 25th to March 6th.

The "Golden Cobra" joint military exercise has been held once a year since 1982 and has become the largest joint military exercise in Southeast Asia. China has participated as an observer since 2002. In 2014, it dispatched actual troops to perform.

This year's "Golden Cobra-2020" joint military exercise is still co-sponsored by Thailand and the United States, and includes two parts: joint military exercises and humanitarian civilian activities, mainly covering high-level forums, amphibious landing operations exercises, and humanitarian engineering assistance and rescue. Disaster mitigation exercises and other content, joint exercises will be held in Thailand from February 25th to March 6th, with a total of more than 8,900 officers and soldiers from 29 countries participating or observing the exercises as observers.

The Chinese participating team leader Sun Zhi introduced that in the joint exercise, the Army's 75th Army sent a total of 25 people to participate in activities such as tabletop demonstrations, actual soldier exercises, engineering assistance and advanced forums. At the same time, it also helped build a school building for a primary school in Phitsanulok, Thailand, and donated some teaching supplies and living materials.

Participating in actual military exercises and project assistance construction fully reflects China's active participation in defense cooperation in surrounding areas, strengthening exchanges with Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, and providing Chinese solutions and Chinese power for humanitarian relief operations.
