Seven days on the rake with an average daytime temperature of over zero degrees - this is required to call it meteorological spring. Only on Sunday, seven days have passed, but the forecast says it will not be colder and therefore the meteorologists are already assuming that it can be determined that it was spring in southern Sweden on February 15.

Along the coastal stretches in the south, for example parts of Småland, and in the vicinity of Vättern and Vänern, it went straight from meteorological fall to meteorological spring.

- It's pretty unusual. Spring is about a month early in many places, says Åsa Rasmussen, who is also a meteorologist at SVT.

For it to count as meteorological winter it must have been a daily average temperature of below zero degrees, five days in a row.

May be thunderstorm this weekend

How will the weather be the next few days?

- This weekend it looks to be rainy and windy in southern Sweden. In the highlands there may be elements of snow, but it is probably only slush that disappears, says Åsa Rasmussen.

- On Saturday there may be some thunderbolt. On Sunday it will probably continue to blow, you can see a glimpse of the sun and some showers.

In Småland, the daytime temperatures are expected to be between 6 and 8 degrees this weekend.
