The tourist offices in Dalarna will be closed this fall. Already today, the library in Orsa receives a lot of questions and helps tourists with things that you may need help with in a place where you are visiting. And from this fall when the tourist offices will close, one expects that it will be a larger part of the librarians' everyday lives.

"It would be best if it stayed"

Instead of the tourist offices, Visit Dalarna will, among other things, invest in so-called Info points, which will be located in different places in the county where tourists come. Whether Orsa's library is relevant for such a point is unclear, but it might be a good idea, think staff at the library, as they are already spending a lot of time helping tourists.

- We are doing as best we can, but if it were to be an official collaboration we might be able to do a better job, but the best thing would be if the tourist office was still available and accessible considering what tourism means to Dalarna and the resort here as well, says Gunhild Bergquist, librarian at Orsa Library.

In the clip, Gunhild Bergquist tells more about what tourists who come into the library need help with and about the thoughts of the tourist office disappearing.
