Spring Summer Autumn and winter. Most people are used to experiencing our four seasons. But for the first time in at least five years it has gone directly from autumn to spring in parts of Sweden. So is the location along the west coast, parts of Småland, Skåne, Öland, Gotland, Östergötland and Blekinge.

- It's unusual and early. Spring usually comes earlier on the coast but not this early, says Deana Bajic, meteorologist at SVT.

Confirms early spring

In order for it to be meteorological spring, the daytime temperature must be above zero degrees, seven days in a row. However, according to meteorological definitions, spring cannot arrive before 15 February. On Friday, it is seven days since the day count could begin. But already at lunch time on Friday we can state that spring has reached parts of Sweden, including Halland.

- We can say that already. Although it will be a little cooler next week and there could be some wet snow during Tuesday and Wednesday, it is ours, says Deana Bajic.

Recently, SMHI has issued several warnings in southern Sweden about harsh winds and high water flows. Something that also continues over the weekend.
