Düsseldorf (dpa / tmn) - At Eurowings, the second, smaller piece of hand luggage in the entry tariff will cost extra in the future. From March 2020, those who book the basic tariff may only take one piece of luggage with the dimensions 55x40x23 centimeters free of charge, the airline announced. The second piece of hand luggage can be booked for a fee. Existing bookings are not affected.

In addition, customers with a basic tariff can only check in online free of charge from March. If you want to continue checking in at the airport, you can book this additional service, as Eurowings explains.

The Lufthansa subsidiary is therefore cutting back its services in the cheapest tariff: Last year, free snacks and drinks were no longer available. In January, the airline announced that passengers would in future pay a fee for seat selection on domestic and European flights.
