It is noted that the parties discussed the situation in and around Libya, "including in the light of the adoption on February 12 of UN Security Council resolution 2510 in support of the decisions of the January 19 summit in Berlin."

“At the same time, the Russian side emphasized the inevitability of a political settlement of the Libyan crisis on ways to achieve a sustainable ceasefire and establish a national dialogue with the participation of all Libyan socio-political forces,” the Foreign Ministry said.

Earlier it was reported that the Minister of Defense of Russia, Army General Sergei Shoigu, met with the commander of the Libyan National Army, Marshal Khalifa Haftar.
