This is stated in the commentary of the department on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the armed coup in Ukraine.

As stated in the Foreign Ministry, the events of 2014 did not bring Kiev “anything positive”, but only exacerbated the existing problems, to solve them it was necessary “to abandon the fight against fictional enemies and proceed to the process of creation”.

“If Kiev continues the current confrontational policy, the country faces inevitable self-destruction,” the report says.

The department also emphasized that the new leadership of the country has not achieved tangible results in the fight against corruption and solving social problems.

“In six years, Ukraine has turned from a prosperous state as a whole into one of the poorest countries in Europe. And the degradation continues. If we recall that the main slogan of the Maidan was the acceleration of European integration, then the result speaks for itself. No one expects Ukraine either in the EU or NATO, ”the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.

According to the agency, the actions of the Ukrainian authorities raise doubts about Kiev’s ability to fulfill promises to end the war in the Donbass.

Earlier, the State Security Bureau specified the number of deaths during the "Euromaidan", which in Ukraine is called the "heavenly hundred."

It was noted that we are talking about 2.5 thousand victims, 78 dead civilians, 13 dead law enforcement officers, citizens of Ukraine, 14 thousand volumes of cases of criminal proceedings.

At the same time, according to official statistics of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated April 11, 2014, the “heavenly hundred” included 105 dead civilians, of whom 94 were injured during clashes on Institutskaya Street.

According to Viktor Medvedchuk, the head of the political council of the Opposition Platform - For Life party, about half of the people are considered to be “heavenly hundred” without reason, 50-60 people can be attributed to this list.
