Bätteropp's horse company has its premises nearby, a few hundred meters away.
- It is a great concern for us riders. We will not dare to ride nearby, says Julia Pettersson, who is one of the members of Bätteropp Hästsällskap.
They are worried about the horses being scared, which they think would be dangerous for the riders. Instead, they want the wind turbines to be located further away, but that is not an option, says Stena Renewable, who is behind the project.
Understand concerns
"The wind turbines need mutual distance to operate, so if something were to be done, it is not to build them, and we do not think this is a reasonable alternative," says Dan Sandros, project manager at Stena Renewable.
- We understand that there is a concern but at the same time it has been preceded by a long series of trials in several instances when this condition has been developed. And we think the benefits outweigh the disadvantages in this case, says Dan Sandros.
