“The Security Service of Ukraine is taking urgent measures to establish the circumstances of sending fake information allegedly on behalf of the Russian Ministry of Health about alleged detection of the COVID-19 virus in Ukraine,” the ministry said.
The SBU noted that work is underway to identify all the circumstances of the incident, for this purpose, experts are investigating the telecommunication equipment of the Ministry of Health.
As the department already found out, the letter was sent using one of the foreign mail service with the substitution of the sender's address.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine Zoryana Skaletska said that the dissemination on behalf of the agency of information about cases of coronavirus allegedly recorded in the country is a planned attack on her ministry, and complained about fakes in the SBU.
