“On February 20, the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria reported several massive attacks using a large amount of armored vehicles on units of the Syrian army in the Idlib de-escalation zone carried out by terrorist gangs,” the agency’s website said in a statement.

The Foreign Ministry said that the actions of the militants supported the Turkish Armed Forces, which ultimately helped the terrorists break through the defense of the ATS army.

“We express serious concern about such support for militants from the Turkish armed forces. This incident is a violation of the Russian-Turkish agreements ... runs the risk of provoking a further escalation of the conflict in this part of the national territory of Syria, ”the department added.

It was previously reported that the Russian aerospace forces attacked the militants in northern Syria after their attacks on Syrian government forces.
