- Considering that we are seeing increased unrest in Skäggetorp, I think it is a wrong priority. The alternative then is to go in with human resources at a higher cost. In the worst case, it requires an effort on the part of the municipality and that we have to go in with extra resources and then we have ended up very wrong if the municipality has to do police work, says Muharrem Demirok (C), municipal council in Linköping.

Muharrem Demirok is also a member of the Eastern Regional Police Council and this is an issue he may raise in that forum.

- If the situation in Skäggetorp continues at the level it has been lately, this is definitely a question I will raise. But then it is not just about camera surveillance, but about the security work in Linköping as a whole, he says.

Temporary cameras are set up

According to Pia Glennvik, project manager for the camera project at national level, believes that the cameras will be in place - but not 2020. According to her, temporary cameras will also be set up in Skäggetorp in the near future.
